The Tombacco winery is located in the small Italian city of Trebaseleghe near Venice, Padua and Treviso - in the center of D.O.C. and I.G.T. Triveneto. This area is rich with rivers and is protected by mountains from the wind, although it is very close to the sea. In such conditions, the ground generously fills the body of wine, gives it a color and special elegance.
The winery started its history as a farm that specialized in the fruit selling. However, in 1919 its owners decided to study up the winemaking and wine market. In that way the company founded its own vineyards and started production of wine.
Over the course of time, Tombacco expanded its activities to other regions of Italy. The company began to buy wine from other winemakers, to age it using own resources, to blend it with the highest quality and to bottle wines with its own label.
For many years, Tombacco has kept up with the times, applying the latest technologies for production improving. The winery uses an innovative system of winemaking and grape growing. The team of winemakers and agronomists constantly monitors the microbiological, chemical and organoleptic parameters of the product. Following the latest trends and growing consumers’ demands, Tombacco launched its own large plant for wine bottling. This step has become a new stage in the development of the company and the strengthening of Tombacco wines on the world market.
